Nail Technician

Program Overview

Learning to become a Nail Technician is a balance between the sciences and the arts. Express your creativity while learning how to diagnose and apply cosmetic procedures to hands, feet, and nails. This program prepares students for licensing as a Nail Technician by the PA State Board of Cosmetology.

Professional Practices (25 hrs) -
Professional Image, Time Management, Ethics

Sciences (75 hrs) -
Infection Control, Health & Safety Regulations, Preventing the Spread of Disease, Nail Histology

Nail Treatment (100 hrs) -
Basic Manicure & Pedicure, Spa Manicure & Pedicure, Massage Manipulations, Nail Extensions

Required Items

10th grade education or equivalent, free from disease, 16 or older, and the hours required by the state for the career choice. 35 years or older or Veteran does not need the 10th grade documentations.
